KW - Maternal KW - neonatal KW - post-term gebelik KW - ebelik N2 - Post-term pregnancy is defined as pregnancies that continue until 42 weeks of gestation or more. Many fetal, neonatal and maternal complications occur in post-term pregnancies. The incidence of post-term pregnancy in the world varies between 1% and 10%. The reason why the incidence of post-term pregnancy varies all over the world is that there is no routine guide used and obstetric practices differ from country to country. The purpose of this review; First of all, the definition of post-term pregnancy, the concepts used in its definition, its prevalence in the world and in our country, current researches in this field and the role and responsibilities of midwives in the care of post-term pregnant are reviewed in the light of the literature.
