It is aimed at strengthening the child’s coping skills, completing the dental treatment in a willing and accepting way, and reducing the child’s perception of dental interventions as a dangerous situation by applying different behavior management techniques. When the current literature and clinical guidelines on the subject are examined, it has been seen that new non-pharmacological behavior management techniques that can be used in pediatric dentistry have been defined. The purpose of this review is to provide a guide for updated behavior management techniques that can be used by dentists during the treatment of pediatric patients and in atraumatic treatment sessions.
