AB  - Herpes zoster, dorsal kök ganglionunda latent olarak kalan Varicella zoster virüs’ün (VZV) reaktivasyonu sonucunda gelişen, sıklıkla torasik, servikal, oftalmik ve lumbosakral bölgeleri tutan veziküler döküntü ile karakterize bir hastalıktır. Elli yedi yaşında foliküler lenfoma tanısı ile takip edilen erkek hasta sağ uyluk dış yüzünde ağrı, kızarıklık, şişlik, kabarcıklar ve ateş yakınmaları ile başvurdu. Fizik muayenesinde duyusal sinirin dermatom sahasına uygun olarak sağ uyluk dış yüzünde gruplar oluşturmuş veziküler döküntüleri mevcuttu. Laboratuvar incelemelerinde VZV IgG pozitif olarak saptandı. Varisella zoster virüs reaktivasyonu ile zona hastalığı meydana gelebilir. Bu olgumuzda, VZV enfeksiyonun nadir atipik prezentasyon şeklinde de karşımıza çıkabileceğini anımsatmayı amaçladık.

N2  - Herpes zoster is a disease which is characterised by vesicular eruptions involving thoracic, cervical, ophtalmic and lumbosacral plexus and caused by the reactivation of Varicella zoster virus (VZV) which is remaining latent in dorsal root ganglions. A 57-year-old man with the diagnosis of follicular lymphoma was admitted to our emergency clinic with the complaints of fever, pain, redness, edema and bubbles on right outer side of thigh. On physical examination, group-forming vesicular eruptions on the lateral side of right thigh were present. Varicella zoster immunoglobulin G was found to be positive. Varisella zoster virus infection may present as zona. In this case, we aimed to remind that VZV infection can be diagnosed rarely in atypical presentation.
