AB  - Azerbaycan'ın, 19. yüzyılın sonu 20. yüzyılın başlarında, en önemli sosyal problemlerinden birini kadının toplum hayatındaki yeri teşkil ediyordu. Hiciv ve mizahı kullanarak kendine özgü bir üslûpla ortaya çıkan Molla Nasreddin dergisi sayfalarında kadın konulu makalelere, resim ve karikatürlere yer vererek bu önemli konuyu halka anlatmaya çalıştı.Molla Nasreddinciler olarak anılmaya başlayan bu akımın temsilcileri dönemin bütün çağdaş ve reformist aydınlarında ortak olan gelişmiş bir toplum, cehalet ve bağnazlıkla mücadele gibi konular üzerinde yoğunlaş-mışlardı. Bu amaçla faaliyet gösteren dergi özellikle kadın konusundaki yazılarının çeşitliliği ve fikirlerinin orijinalliği ile dikkati çekmektedir.

N2  - At the end of the 19th and in the beginning of the 20th centuries, one of the most important social problems of Azerbaijan was the status of women in the society. The Journal of Molla Nasreddin famous with its way of ridicules openning its pages to the articles an women pictures and caricatures showed a great deal of interest and tried to enligten people.  Gathering around this journal as a school of Molla Nasreddin, all reformist entellectuals of the this particular period of time focused their attention to create a new and contemporray society and fight against illeteracy and backwardness. This became the major topic of the journal. Therefore it found itself right at the center of interest for its variety of topics on women and orijinal ideas.
