AB  - Gürültü kirliliği, çoğu insanın günlük yaşamını olumsuz etkileyen önemli çevre sorunlarından biri olarak görülmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, Sinop şehir merkezi ve yakın köylerinde seçilmiş bazı ilk ve orta dereceli eğitim kurumlarında gürültü düzeyinin araştırılmasıdır. Bu kapsamda eğitim-öğretimin devam ettiği 2012 yılı Ekim – Kasım ayları arasında okulların iç mekânında gürültü ölçümleri yapılmıştır. Ölçüm sonuçlarına göre okullarda mekanın dolu/boş olma durumu dahil olmak üzere minimum gürültü seviyeleri, Ulusal ve Uluslararası normların üzerinde [35 db(A)] olduğu belirlenmiştir. Şehir içinde bulunan okulların gürültü düzeylerinin, köylerde bulunan okullara göre önemli ölçüde yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir

N2  - Noise pollution, in the recent times, has been well recognized as one of the major environmental problems that impact the quality of life in urban areas. The main aim of study is to investigate noise level at the some selected elementary and secondary schools in Sinop city and its close villages. In this context, indoors noise measurements are recorded in different schools in the study area between October and November in 2012. It is determined that minimum noise levels via full or empty space at all recorded schools are over the national and international norms [35 db(A)] according to the measurement results. The measurement record levels of the schools in Sinop city are significantly higher than the records of the schools within the villages
