Konvansiyonel yüz maskesiuygulaması, ankraj ünitesi ile bireyin vertikalyönde büyümesinde istenmeyen değişimlereneden olabilmektedir. Bu noktada istenmeyendentoalveolar etkileri en aza indirmekamacıyla maksilla protraksiyonu, yüzmaskesinin iskeletsel ankraj üniteleri ilebirlikte kullanımıyla elde edilebilmektedir. Buolgu sunumunun amacı büyüme gelişimdöneminde olan maksiller yetmezliğe bağlısınıf III anomaliye sahip bireyin mini-plakankrajlı yüz maskesi uygulaması ile iskeletsel, dentoalveolar ve yumuşak dokudakideğişimlerinin sunulmasıdır. Today, in the treatmentof skeletal class III anomalies, face masks arefrequently used. Conventional application ofthe face mask may cause undesirable changesin the growth of the individual with theanchorage unit in the vertical direction. At thispoint, it is possible to achieve maxillaprotraction by using the face mask togetherwith skeletal anchorage units to minimizeundesired dentoalveolar effects. The aim ofthis case report is to present, by applying aface mask with mini-plate anchorage, theskeletal, dentoalveolar and soft tissue changesof an individual with class III anomaly due tomaxillary insufficiency in the growth anddevelopment period.
