However, the main purpose of scientific literacy is to empower individuals to make informed decisions and to live meaningfully in an increasingly complex and technology-driven world. Understanding daily life applications of science has become even more important with the 21st century skills. It is required the learners link science disciplinary core ideas with everyday life situations in order to practice problem-based critical thinking skills. The science curricula around the world considers to raise scientifically literate students as future members of the society. The question here is how implementing SL shapes everyday life of citizens. This study aims to answer this question with clarifying an interpretable perspective. The science phenomenon of electrical circuits was examined to comprehend how SL leads everyday life of the people. Three main sections are discussed regarding to the issue. These were entitled daily life applications, personal safety, and economic dimension. This position paper underlies SL plays an important role turning individuals into conscious and effective citizens.
