AB  - Bu çalışmanın amacı Sağlık Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulunda okuyan öğrencilerin deprem konusundaki bilgi düzeylerini ve farkındalıklarını belirlemektir. Araştırma tanımlayıcı tipte olup, veriler çalışmacılar tarafından oluşturulan anket formu ile Haziran-Temmuz 2023 tarihlerinde bir devlet üniversitesinin sağlık hizmetleri meslek yüksekokulundaki öğrencilerinden toplandı. Araştırmanın evreni 500 öğrenci olup örneklemi ise gönüllü katılımcı olmayı kabul eden 355 öğrencidir. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaş ortalamaları 21.0 ± 3.76 (18-46)’dır. Öğrencilerin  % 68.5’inin daha önce depreme maruz kaldığı ve %63.4’ünün yaşadığı şehrin deprem riski altında olduğu, %89.3’ünün kendisi ve çevresinin depreme hazırlıklı olmadığı, %72.4’ünün deprem acil durum çantası bulundurmadığı, %89.6’sının deprem öncesi deprem çantasını bulundurmanın önemini bildiği belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin %90.1’inin devrilebilecek eşyaların duvarlara sabitlenmesinin önemini, %82.8’sinin depremin yapılara/binalara etkilerini, %88.2’sinin depremin maddi zararlarını ve %94.4’ünün depremin manevi zararlarını bildiği belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin depreme yönelik eğitim alma durumları ile bireysel ve deprem farkındalık durumlarının karşılaştırılmasında; depremin yapılara etkileri, depremin maddi zararları hakkında bilgi sahibi olma, üniversite eğitiminin doğal afetlere karşı bilinçlendirmesi, yaşadıkları şehrin riski, ülkedeki fay hatlarının geçtiği yerleri bilme, siz ve çevrenizin afete hazır olma durumu, deprem acil çantası bulundurma, barınma yeri ve depreme karşı bilinçli olma hayat kurtarır oranları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık olduğu (p0,05). Öğrencilerin afete hazırlıklı olması ile deprem acil çantası bulundurma arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık bulunduğu (p0,05). Çalışmamızda öğrencilerin depremin zararları, deprem öncesi ve sonrası yapılması gerekenler hakkında bilgi düzeylerinin ve farkındalıklarının yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.

N2  - This study aims to determine the knowledge level and awareness of the students studying at the Vocational School of Health Services about earthquakes. The study was descriptive and the data were collected from the students of the vocational school of health services of a state university in June-July 2023 with a questionnaire form created by the researchers. The population of the study was 500 students and the sample was 355 students who accepted to be voluntary participants. The mean age of the students participating in the research is 21.0 ± 3.76 (18-46). 68.5% of the students were exposed to an earthquake before, 63.4% of the students were at risk of earthquakes, 89.3% of them and their surroundings were not prepared for an earthquake, 72.4% of them did not have an earthquake emergency bag, It was determined that 89.6% of them knew the importance of having an earthquake bag before the earthquake. It was determined that 90.1% of the participants knew the importance of fixing the items that could fall to the walls, 82.8% knew the effects of the earthquake on the structures/buildings, 88.2% knew the material damage of the earthquake and 94.4% knew the moral damage of the earthquake. In the comparison of the students' education about earthquakes and their individual and earthquake awareness levels; Having information about the effects of the earthquake on the structures, the material damage of the earthquake, raising awareness against natural disasters in university education, the risk of the city they live in, knowing the places where the fault lines pass in the country, the preparedness of you and your environment for the disaster, having an earthquake emergency kit, sheltering place and being conscious about the earthquake. It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between life-saving rates (p0.05). It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between students' preparedness for disaster and having an earthquake emergency bag (p0.05). In our study, it was determined that the student's level of knowledge and awareness about the damages of the earthquake and what to do before and after the earthquake were high.
