AB  - 20. yüzyılda dünyada yaşanan gelişmeler siyonizm akımının güç ve taraftarkazanmasını sağlamakla birlikte siyonistlerin var güçleriyle Filistin’e yönelmelerine deneden olmuştur. Osmanlı Yahudi toplumunun bir kısmını etkisi altına alan bu akım sadeceteorik bir bilgi değil aynı zamanda uygulamaya dönüşen bir ideoloji hâline de dönüşmüştür.Bu akıma mensup Yahudiler, birçok alanda olduğu gibi casusluk faaliyetleri yürüterekYahudi Devleti’nin kurulmasına gayret göstermişlerdir. Bu çerçevede Filistin’de bulunancasus Spira Ailesi’nin faaliyetleri önem arz etmektedir. Almanya’dan Osmanlı LaheySefareti’ne gönderilen bir mektupla deşifre edilen Spira Ailesi, Filistin’de siyonizm lehinesiyasi, ekonomik ve toplumsal olduğu kadar askeri faaliyetlerde de bulunmuştur. Ne varki bu faaliyet sahası Filistin ile sınırlı kalmamış, Almanya, İngiltere ve Hollanda’ya dayayılmıştır. Zamansal olarak Birinci Dünya Savaşı’ndan önce casusluk faaliyetlerinebaşlayan Spira Ailesi, savaş boyunca aktif durumda kalmıştır. Bu faaliyetlerinin 1918yılı Mart ayına kadar sürdüğü ve bu tarihlerde 4. Ordu’ya bağlı istihbarat birimlerininoperasyonu ile ailenin etkisiz hale getirildiği anlaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmada Birinci DünyaSavaşı sürecinde Osmanlı Devleti’nde ve farklı ülkelerde organize olan Spira Ailesi’nincasusluk faaliyetleri Osmanlı arşiv vesikaları ışığında incelenmiştir.

N2  - While the developments in the world in the 20th century enabled the Zionist movementto gain strength and support, it also caused the Zionists to turn to Palestine with alltheir might. This movement, which influenced a part of the Ottoman Jewish community,was not only a theoretical knowledge, but also an ideology that turned into practice.Jews belonging to this movement, as well as in many other fields, carried out activitiesin the field of espionage and endeavored to establish the Jewish State. In this context, theactivities of the spy Spira family in Palestine are important. The Spira family who weredeciphered in a letter sent from Germany to the Ottoman Hague Embassy, engaged in political,economic and social as well as military activities in favor of Zionism in Palestine.However, this field of activity was not limited to Palestine but also spread to Germany,England and the Netherlands. The Spira family who started its espionage activities beforethe First World War, remained active throughout the war. It was understood that these activitiescontinued until March 1918 and that they were neutralized by the operation of theintelligence units of the 4th Army. It also was understood that these activities continueduntil March 1918 and that they were neutralized by the operation of the intelligence unitsof the Ottoman 4th Army. In this study, the espionage activities of the Spira family whowere organized in the Ottoman Empire and different countries during the First World War,were examined in the light of Ottoman archive documents.
