Materials and Methods: The research was conducted on April 15 and June 15, 2022, with 353 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in Ankara. In the study, "Data Collection Form", "Problem Solving Inventory for Children" and "Rational Belief Scale for Adolescents" were used as data collection tools. . Results: In the study, a significant negative correlation was found between the irrational beliefs and problem-solving skills of early adolescent individuals (r=-0.389; p <0.01). As adolescent individuals’ irrational beliefs increased, their problem-solving skills decreased. In the study, when the sub-dimensions of the scales were evaluated, a negative significant relationship was found between the sub-dimensions of adolescents’ self-control, avoidance and confidence in problem solving, r=-0.255; r=-0.273; r=-0.286, p <0.01). Adolescents’ irrational belief and problem-solving skills were found to be moderate (66.97±11.18;68.95±12.83). Conclusion: In this respect, the research reveals the importance of the relationship between adolescents’ irrational beliefs and problem-solving skills. In further research, intervention studies are recommended to reduce the irrational beliefs of.
