Ayrıca, ebeveynlerin eğitim durumu ve gelir düzeylerinin; RVE’yi bilme, RVE’nin bulaşıcı olduğunu bilme, RVE aşısını bilme, RVE aşısını yaptırma ve yaşanılan yer ile RVE’nin bulaşıcı olduğunu bilme arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlılık olduğu tespit edildi (p KW - Bilgi KW - çocuk KW - ebeveynler KW - davranış KW - rotavirüs N2 - Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge level and behaviours of parents of children hospitalised due to rotavirus infection (RVI).Methods: The cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted between December 2022 and March 2023 by face-to-face interviews with 122 parents of children diagnosed with RVI. Data was collected with a questionnaire on socio-demographic characteristics and RVI knowledge. In the evaluation, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, median, minimum-maximum, percentage-number values and chi-square test were used. Ethical principles were followed during the data collection process. Results: In the study, it was determined that 43.4% of the parents had information about RVI and 13.9% had received the RVI vaccine. It was found that 73% of the parents wanted to receive education about RVI, and 67.6% of those who did not vaccinate were due to lack of information. The opinion that RVI vaccine should be added to the vaccination calendar was dominant in 90.2% of the parents. In addition, it was determined that there was statistical significance between the educational status and income levels of the parents; knowing RVI, knowing that RVI is contagious, knowing RVI vaccination, having RVI vaccination and the place of residence and knowing that RVI is contagious (p CR - Abd Elkodoos RF, Elsawy MM, Mousa, K.
