AB  - Amaç: Tuvalet eğitimi sürecinin başarıyla devam etmesi annelerin tuvalet eğitiminde yeterli bilgi ve farkındalığa sahip olmaları ile mümkündür. Bu araştırmanın amacı, annelerin tuvalet eğitimine yönelik bilgi ve tutumlarını çok merkezli olarak incelemektir.Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı kesitsel türde planlanan çalışma, Türkiye’nin üç farklı bölgesindeki üç ilin merkezinde bulunan üç hastanede yapılması açısından çok merkezli çalışma türünü sergilemiş olup 643 anne ile gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmanın verileri, “Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu” ve “Tuvalet Eğitimi Bilgi Tutum Ölçeği” ile toplandı. Verilerin analizi elektronik ortamda hesaplanmış olup annelerin ve çocukların tanıtıcı özellikleri için sayı, yüzdelik, ortalama testleri kullanıldı. Bu özellikler ile ölçek toplam puanının illere göre karşılaştırılmasında t-testi ve ANOVA testinden faydalanıldı. Ayrıca, ölçeğin güvenirliliğini değerlendirmede Cronbach Alfa katsayısı hesaplandı. Çalışma için etik kurul onayı alındı. Katılımcılardan bilgilendirilmiş onamları alındı. Bu araştırma, Helsinki Bildirgesinde belirtilen ilkelere uygun olarak yürütülmüştür.Bulgular: Gaziantep, Amasya ve Erzincan’daki anneler Tuvalet Eğitimi Bilgi Tutum Ölçeğinden sırasıyla 115,18±12,09, 109,63±11,90 ve 119,26±11,24 puan aldı. Tüm illerdeki annelerin Tuvalet Eğitimi Bilgi Tutum Ölçeğinden aldıkları toplam puan ise 114,62±12,38’dir.Sonuç: Tüm illerdeki annelerin Tuvalet Eğitimi Bilgi Tutum Ölçeğinden aldıkları puanlar yüksek düzeyde bulundu. Ayrıca ekonomik durumun tuvalet eğitimine yönelik bilgi ve tutumu değiştirdiği söylenebilir. Tuvalet eğitimi ile ilgili daha farklı örneklemlerde değişik tasarımda çalışmalar yapılması önerilmektedir.

N2  - Objective: Successful continuation of the toilet training process is possible only if mothers have sufficient knowledge and awareness about toilet training. The aim of this study was to examine mothers' knowledge and attitudes towards toilet training in a multicenter approach.Method: The descriptive cross-sectional study was planned in a multi-centered study type in that it was conducted in three hospitals located in the centers of three provinces in three different regions of Turkey and was conducted with 643 mothers. The data were collected with the "Descriptive Information Form" and "Toilet Training Knowledge Attitude Scale". Data analysis was calculated electronically and number, percentage and mean tests were used for descriptive characteristics of mothers and children. The t-test and ANOVA test were used to compare these characteristics and the total score of the scale according to provinces. In addition, Cronbach's alpha coefficient was calculated to assess the reliability of the scale. The study was approved by the ethics committee. Informed consent was obtained from the participants. This study conducted to the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki.Results: Mothers in Gaziantep, Amasya, and Erzincan scored 115.18±12.09, 109.63±11.90, and 119.26±11.24 points, respectively, on the Toilet Training Knowledge Attitude Scale. The sum of the mothers in all provinces scored 114.62±12.38 points from the Toilet Training Knowledge Attitude Scale. Conclusion: The scores of mothers in all provinces on the Toilet Training Knowledge and Attitude Scale were found to be high. In addition, it can be said that economic status changes the knowledge and attitude towards toilet training. It is recommended to conduct studies on toilet training in different samples with different designs.
