TY - JOUR T1 - Some Morphometric Characteristics of Alburnus caeruleus (Heckel, 1843) in Adıyaman Region, Türkiye TT - Adıyaman Yöresindeki Alburnus Caeruleus’un (Heckel, 1843) Bazı Morfometrik Özellikleri AU - Kara, Cemil AU - Bozali, Nuri PY - 2024 DA - December Y2 - 2024 DO - 10.51756/marlife.1519973 JF - Marine and Life Sciences JO - Mar Life Sci PB - Emrah ŞİMŞEK WT - DergiPark SN - 2687-5802 SP - 96 EP - 100 VL - 6 IS - 2 LA - en AB - In this study, the distribution and some diagnostic features of Alburnus caeruleus in Adıyaman region were determined. The research was carried out in 18 stations which contains two natural lakes (Azaplı and Gölbaşı Lakes), two reservoirs (Atatürk and Çat Reservoir) and 10 stream systems. Alburnus caeruleus individuals were detected from Kahta Stream, Sofraz Stream, Ziyaret Stream, and Çakal Stream. The average length of A. caeruleus individuals caught in the research area is 73.70-81.91 mm, and their average weight is 3.70-5.56 g. It was determined that the colours and patterns of A. caeruleus individuals differed according to stream habitats, the number of line lateral scales was 51-55, and the number of pharynx teeth was 2.5-5.2. A. caeruleus has a limited distribution in the streams in the Adıyaman region, from minimal populations and needs to be protected. Additionally, A. caeruleus has the potential to be an ornamental fish in aquariums. KW - Euphrates River KW - Freshwater fishes KW - Alburnus caeruleus KW - Adıyaman N2 - Bu çalışmada, Adıyaman yöresinde Alburnus caeruleus'un yayılışı ve bazı teşhis özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırma, iki doğal göl (Azaplı ve Gölbaşı Gölleri), iki baraj gölü (Atatürk ve Çat Barajı) ve 10 akarsu sistemini içeren 18 istasyonda yürütülmüştür. Alburnus caeruleus bireyleri Kahta Deresi, Sofraz Deresi, Ziyaret Deresi ve Çakal Deresi'nde tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma alanında yakalanan A. caeruleus bireylerinin ortalama uzunluğu 73.70-81.91 mm, ortalama ağırlığı ise 3.70-5.56 gr'dır. A. caeruleus bireylerinin renk ve desenlerinin akarsu habitatlarına göre farklılık gösterdiği, çizgi yanal pul sayısının 51-55, yutak dişi sayısının ise 2.5-5.2 olduğu belirlenmiştir. A. caeruleus, Adıyaman bölgesindeki akarsularda sınırlı dağılıma sahiptir, minimal popülasyonlardan oluşur ve korunması gerekir. Ayrıca, A. caeruleus'un akvaryumlarda süs balığı olma potansiyeli vardır. CR - Bayçelebi, E. (2020). Distribution and diversity of fish from Seyhan, Ceyhan and Orontes river systems.
