AB  - Bu makale, Yeni Dışavurumculuk akımının önde gelen temsilcilerinden biri olan Georg Baselitz’in portreler serisini incelemektedir. Portrelerinde, figüratif resim ile soyutlama arasında gidip gelen, özellikle baş aşağı olarak çizilmiş figürler, izleyicinin alışılmış görsel algısını sorgulatan bir yaklaşımı yansıtmaktadır. Alışılmadık yaklaşımı, figüratif çerçeve içinde soyut unsurların bir araya getirilmesini içerir ve portreciliğin sınırlarını zorlayan ve yeniden tanımlayan kompozisyonlarla sonuçlanır. Baselitz'in Yeni Dışavurumcu dil üzerindeki ustalığı, hareketin enerjisini kimlik ve duygunun çağdaş keşiflerine kanalize etmesiyle belirginleşmekte, renk paletleri ve kompozisyonu özenli bir şekilde kullanarak geleneksel temsilin sınırlarını aşan görsel bir anlatı oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışma, literatür taramasına dayalı betimsel bir araştırma modeli kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Georg Baselitz’in sanat hayatı, oluşturmuş olduğu Portreler Serisi ile literatürde var olan bilgiler ışığında incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, Georg Baselitz’in portreler serisinin çağdaş sanat üzerindeki etkisi ve sanatçının modern portre sanatına getirdiği yenilikler tartışılmaktadır. Baselitz’in eserleri, dışavurumculuğun çağdaş bir yorumu olarak, sanat tarihindeki yerini sağlamlaştırmıştır. Sanatçının cesur ve yenilikçi yaklaşımı, dışavurumculuğun sınırlarını genişletirken, izleyicilere de derinlemesine düşünme ve hissetme fırsatı sunmaktadır.

N2  - This article examines the series of portraits by Georg Baselitz, one of the leading representatives of the New Expressionism movement. His portraits reflect an approach that oscillates between figurative painting and abstraction, especially the figures drawn upside down, questioning the viewer's usual visual perception. His unconventional approach involves the combination of abstract elements within a figurative framework, resulting in compositions that push and redefine the boundaries of portraiture. Baselitz's mastery of the New Expressionist language is evident in his channeling of the energy of movement into contemporary explorations of identity and emotion, and his careful use of color palettes and composition to create a visual narrative that transcends the boundaries of traditional representation. This study was conducted using a descriptive research model based on a literature review. Georg Baselitz's artistic life, his Portraits Series and the information available in the literature are analyzed in the light of existing information. As a result, the impact of Georg Baselitz's portrait series on contemporary art and the innovations the artist brought to modern portrait art are discussed. Baselitz's works, as a contemporary interpretation of expressionism, have cemented his place in art history. The artist's bold and innovative approach expands the boundaries of expressionism and offers viewers the opportunity to think and feel deeply.
