Methods: This descriptive and correlational study was conducted between January 2019 and May 2019. The sample consisted of 379 older adults (aged 65 and over) admitted to three family health centers (FHMs) in a provincial center in eastern Türkiye. Data were collected using a descriptive questionnaire, the Successful Aging Scale (SAS), and the Life Satisfaction Index (LSI). Results: Participants had a mean age of 70.87±5.61 years. They had mean SAS and LSI scores of 53.54±8.43 and 10.85±4.14, respectively. More than a quarter of the participants (38%) had high life satisfaction. There was a weak positive correlation between the SAS total and subscale scores and the mean LSI score (P <.001). Conclusion: Older adults had a good perception of successful aging. However, they had a moderate perception of life satisfaction. It was determined that as perceptions of life satisfaction increased, perceptions of successful aging also increased. Therefore, FHM nurses should counsel and support older adults to ensure successful aging and life satisfaction.}, number={3}, publisher={Atatürk Üniversitesi}
