AB  - Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı hemşire, psikolog, özel eğitim öğretmenliği, sınıf öğretmenliği ve okul öncesi öğretmenliği 4. sınıf adaylarının OSB’ye yönelik toplumsal tutumlarının değerlendirilmesidir.Materyal ve metot: Araştırma verileri Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti’nde yer alan bir vakıf üniversitesinin hemşirelik, psikoloji, okul öncesi öğretmenliği, sınıf öğretmenliği ve özel eğitim öğretmenliği bölümlerini okuyan toplam 161 öğrenciden kişisel bilgi formu ve otizm spektrum bozukluğuna yönelik toplumsal tutumlar ölçeği kullanılarak elde edilmiştir.Bulgular: Öğrencilerin otizm spektrum bozukluğuna yönelik toplumsal tutumlarının orta seviyenin üzerinde olumsuz olduğu belirlenmiştir. Cinsiyetin OSB’ye yönelik tutum üzerinde etkisi olmadığı saptanırken, 22 yaşın altında, OSB’ye yönelik ders almayan, hemşirelik bölümünü okuyan ve OSB’ye yönelik sempozyum/konferansa katılmayan öğrencilerin daha olumlu tutuma sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Otizmli bir çocuk ile çalışan öğrencilerin toplumsal yaşama yönelik tutumlarının daha olumlu olduğu fakat otizmli bir çocuk ile staj yapan veya muayenesine katılan öğrencilerin genel olarak otizm spektrum bozukluğuna yönelik toplumsal tutumlarının ve bilgilerinin daha olumsuz olduğu belirlenmiştir.Sonuç: Özellikle sınıf, özel eğitim ve okul öncesi öğretmenliği bölümünü okuyan öğrencilerin tutumlarının iyileştirilmesinin gerekli olduğu ve OSB’ye yönelik tutumun iyileşmesi için OSB’ye yönelik ders almak, konferansa veya sempozyuma katılmak, staja çıkmak, OSB’li bir çocuğun muayenesine katılmanın yeterli olmadığı saptanmıştır.

N2  - Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the social attitudes of nurse, psychologist, special education teacher, classroom teacher and preschool teacher 4th grade candidates towards ASD.Methods: The research data were obtained from a total of 161 students studying in the departments of nursing, psychology, preschool teaching, classroom teaching and special education teaching at a foundation university in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus by using a personal information form and the social attitudes towards autism spectrum disorder scale.Results: It was determined that the social attitudes of the students towards autism spectrum disorder were negative above the medium level. While gender was found to have no effect on attitudes towards ASD, it was found that students who were under 22 years of age, who did not take courses on ASD, who were studying in the department of nursing and who did not attend a symposium/conference on ASD had more positive attitudes. It was determined that the attitudes of the students working with a child with autism towards social life were more positive, but the social attitudes and knowledge about autism spectrum disorder in general were more negative for the students who did internship with a child with autism or participated in the examination of a child with autism.Conclusion: It was found that it was necessary to improve the attitudes of students studying in the departments of classroom, special education and pre-school teaching, and that it was not enough to take a course on ASD, attend a conference or symposium, do an internship, or participate in the examination of a child with ASD in order to improve attitudes towards ASD.
