AB  - Prof. Dr. Metin And, who passed away in 2008, was the founder of Ankara University Dil veHe taught at the Department of Theater at the Faculty of History-Geography (DTCF) for more than thirty years. In 1969With his thesis titled “The Effect of the Political, Legal and Social Order of the Constitutional Era on Turkish Theater”doctor in 1975, associate professor in 1975 with his thesis titled “Ottoman Theater”, and associate professor in 1980 with his thesis titled “In the World and in Us”.Shadow Play” and became a professor. He worked at Boğaziçi and Bilkent Universities for three years each.He gave history lectures. Until his death, he taught theater, ballet, dance, folklore, illusion and shadow play.He endeavored to enlighten our rich cultural history with his knowledge and works.In Turkey, the science of theater as a discipline was established at Ankara University, Faculty of Language, History and Geography.To commemorate Prof. Dr. Metin And, one of the most prolific members of the founding team, with a series of events, TurkeyIt was a step befitting the 100th anniversary of the Republic. As part of the “Metin And'ı Memorial Days ”ArchivistsFirst, with the organization of the Platform, on 29 September 2023, the former German Cultural Center, nowat the Goethe Institut Ankara, Metin And's daughter Esra And's process of organizing her father's archive.We have published nearly 60 books, some in foreign languages, and about 1,500 scientific reviews, introductions andthe great cultural legacy left behind by this esteemed Republican intellectual who wrote criticismher daughter Esra And is an exemp
