The study was conducted in the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year with pre-service teachers studying in the third year of Kastamonu University, Faculty of Education, Science Teacher Education. The study was conducted with a total of 13 pre-service teachers, 9 female and 4 male. Participant pre-service teachers were given an 8-week training and the reflection of this training on pre-service teachers was evaluated. During the training process, prospective teachers were allowed to experience the decision-making process through scenarios supported by socio-scientific issues. As data collection tools in the study, semi-structured interviews were conducted to determine the pre-service teachers’ knowledge about decision-making skills at the beginning of the process and at the end of the process to evaluate the change in their decision-making skills with the reflection of the process on themselves, and the Decision Making Skills Test (DMST) adapted by Bozkurt (2014) for pre-service teachers was applied as pre-test before the process and post-test after the process. The quantitative data obtained were analyzed with SPSS program. As a result of the study, it was observed that the students’ posttest mean scores (7.18) were higher than their pre-test mean scores (3.13) and this difference was significant. When the findings obtained from the interviews were analyzed, it was determined that the research process contributed to the pre-service teachers’ decision-making skills, increased their awareness of decision-making skills, and they experienced conscious changes in the decision-making process.}, number={2}, publisher={Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi}
