KW - Üstveri Kalitesi KW - Bilim 2.0 KW - Gelecek Nesil Kurumsal Bilgi Depoları N2 - This study examines the reflections of evolving data-information-science production habits, transitioning from open access academic outputs to open data, on the concept of institutional repositories. It focuses on the analysis, research, and review prepared collaboratively by the "Metadata Quality" working group under Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR), an advocate of open access, which identifies the essential features required for "Next-Generation Institutional Repositories." Within the framework of the standards known as the FAIR principles in the literature, the study explores how large-scale and complex open data and research outputs can be managed. It then examines data management systems tailored to academic disciplines where these principles can be applied, providing examples of possible implementations. In this context, the study investigates the changing cyber-infrastructure needs that support not only institutional repositories offering open access to academic publications but also research data storage under concepts like e-Science and Science 2.0. It evaluates AI-powered computing ecosystems, which are evolving into dataverse platforms and are designed to process large-scale data during research data production. The alignment of these ecosystems with specific FAIR standards is analyzed.Additionally, the discussions within the scope of COAR Metadata Quality working group activities are summarized, not only from the perspective of librarianship and institutional repositories but also from the viewpoint of researchers' potential needs; recommendations are provided for next-generation institutional repositories.
