AB  - Amaç: Herpetik ön üveitlerin klinik özelliklerini, visual sonuçlarını ve tedavisindeki yaklaşımları değerlendirmek.    Yöntem: 2005-2009 yılları arasında kliniğimizde herpetik ön üveit tanısıyla takip edilen 20 hastanın kayıtları retrospektif olarak incelendi. Hastalara tanı klinik muayene bulgularına göre konuldu.    Bulgular: Çalışma kapsamına alınan 9 (%45) kadın, 11 (%55)  erkek hastanın yaş ortalaması 40±16 yıldı. Ortalama takip süresi 20±11 aydı. Tüm hastalarda değişen derecelerde ön kamara reaksiyonu mevcuttu. On (%50) hastada keratik presipitatlar, 12 (%60) hastada korneal tutulum mevcuttu. Bunların 7 (%58,3)' sinde epitelyal keratit, 5 (%41,6)' inde korneal skar mevcuttu. Dokuz (%45) hastada segmental iris atrofisi, 6 (%30) hastada posterior sineşi mevcuttu. Takip süresince 2 (%10) hastada göz içi basınç yüksekliği saptandı. Tüm hastalara akut dönemde topikal steroid ve sistemik antiviral tedavi uygulandı. Korneal tutulumu olan 12 (%60) hastaya topikal antiviral tedavi eklendi. On (%50) hastada takip süresince rekürrens gözlendi. Hastalarda görme keskinliği snellen eşeline göre ortalama 1,9 sıra arttı.    Tartışma: Herpetik ön üveitlerin tanısı klinik olarak konulabilir. Doğru tanı ve tedavi yaklaşımı belirgin iyileşme ile birlikte nüks oranlarını azaltabilir, görme prognozu üzerine olan olumsuz etkisi ortadan kaldırılabilir. N2  - Purpose: To evaluate the clinical findings, visual outcomes and treatment modalities of the patients with herpetic anterior uveitis.    Methods: We retrospectively reviewed of 20 patients medical records who were followed by herpetic anterior uveitis in our clinic between 2005-2009. The diagnosis of herpetic uveitis was proven by the clinical findings.    Results: There were 9 (45%)  female and 11(55%) male patients with the mean  age of 40±16 years. Mean follow up time was 20±11 months. All of the patients had different levels of anterior chamber inflamation and 10 (50%) patients had  keratic presipitate. Twelve (60%) patients had corneal involvment; 7 of them had epitelyal keratitis and 5 of them had corneal scar. Nine (45%) patients had segmental  iris atropy, 6 30(%) patients had posterior synechia. Two (10%) patients had intraocular pressure elevation during this period. All patients treated with topical steroid and sistemic anti viral agents. Recurrence was devoloped in 10 (50%) patients during this period. The mean improvment of the visual acuity was 1,9 lines according to the snellen charts.    Conclusion: Diagnosis in anterior herpetic uveitis is dependant on clinical signs. Correct diagnosis and effective  treatment may decrease  complications and recurrences.    Key words: Herpetic Uveitis; Treatment; Prognosis.
