AB  - Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaokul öğrencilerinin ileri dönüşüm uygulamalarına yönelik algılarını belirlemektir. Bu kapsamda araştırma nitel anket çalışması olarak tasarlanmıştır. Araştırma verileri 2024 yılı eğitim-öğretim döneminde toplanmıştır. Katılımcılar Kahramanmaraş ili merkez ilçelerinden birinde yer alan bir ortaokuldan uygun örnekleme yöntemine göre seçilmiştir. Araştırmaya toplam 105 ortaokul öğrencisi (48 kız, 57 erkek) katılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerden 31’i beşinci sınıf (15 kız, 16 erkek), 35’i altıncı sınıf (16 kız, 19 erkek), 24’ü yedinci sınıf (12 kız, 12 erkek) ve 15’i sekizinci sınıf (5 kız, 10 erkek) öğrencisidir. Araştırma verileri araştırmacı yazar tarafından geliştirilen İleri Dönüşüm Uygulamaları Anket Formu (İDUAF) ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin ileri dönüştürülebilecek atık ya da kullanılmayan malzemelere ilişkin algılarının plastik, cam, tekstil, kâğıt, ahşap, metal ve diğer (maden, hayvansal, toprak veya taş, bitkisel, kimyasal, elektronik ve organik) kategorilerde çeşitlilik gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.

N2  - The aim of this research is to determine middle school students' perceptions of upcycling practices. This study was designed as a qualitative survey, with data collected during the 2024 academic year. Participants were selected using a convenience sampling method from a middle school located in one of the central districts of Kahramanmaraş province. A total of 105 middle school students participated in the research, consisting of 48 girls and 57 boys. Among the participants, 31 were in fifth grade (15 girls, 16 boys), 35 were in sixth grade (16 girls, 19 boys), 24 were in seventh grade (12 girls, 12 boys), and 15 were in eighth grade (5 girls, 10 boys). The data were gathered using the Upcycling Practices Survey Form, developed by the researcher. The findings revealed that students' perceptions of waste or unused items that can be upcycled varied across several categories, including plastic, glass, textile, paper, wood, metal, mineral, animal, soil or stone, plant, chemical, electronic, and organic.
