As Jerusalem is a crucial component of the national identities of both Palestinians and Israelis, any future peace deal involving such concessions could present challenges tied to biographical narratives emphasizing Jerusalem’s importance. These narratives, deeply connected with national identities, underscore the significance of the city for both sides.
