The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of eosinophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (ELR) as a predictor of CIN among patients who experienced percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Methods: The study involved 440 patients diagnosed with STEMI who underwent primary PCI. The participants were categorized into two classes based on whether they had CIN or not. ELR was calculated by dividing the eosinophil count by the lymphocyte count. Results: The group with CIN (+) showed significantly higher ELR levels (0.134±0.063 vs. 0.069±0.037, p KW - Eosinophil-to-lymphocyte ratio KW - contrast-induced nephropathy KW - percutaneous coronary intervention KW - ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction CR - Elserafy AS, Okasha N, Hegazy T.
