AB  - Alexander Paroń has successfully presented the political and cultural history of the Pechenegs in this work, starting with questions of their origins and homeland and continuing with their historical presence, first in the northern Black Sea steppes, then in the Balkans, and later in the Kingdom of Hungary. He accomplishes this by drawing on written and archaeological sources, as well as numerous studies conducted to date, offering a comparative political and cultural perspective.
