AB  - 6 Şubat 2023 depremleri, Gaziantep’in somut ve somut olmayan kültürel mirasına büyük zarar vermiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, deprem sonrası kültürel dokunun ve toplumsal hafızanın yeniden yapılanması sürecinde kültür turizminin rolünü incelemektir. Çalışmada, kentin kültürel mirasının depremden etkilenme durumu, yerel halk, turizm işletmecileri ve diğer paydaşların görüşleriyle ele alınmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemiyle, Gaziantep’in tarihi ve kültürel kimliğini oluşturan değerlerin korunmasına yönelik mevcut algılar ve stratejiler değerlendirilmiştir. Bu amaçla kent paydaşlarından oluşan 10 kişiyle yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiş, elde edilen veriler MAXQDA 2024 programı ile analiz edilmiş ve teoriler ileri sürülmüştür. Çalışmada “Depremin Olumsuz Etkileri” ve “Kültür Turizmi” başlıklı iki ana tema belirlenmiş, afet sonrası yerel halkın kültürel mirasa olan bağlarının zayıfladığı ve bu kayıpların toplumsal hafızayı olumsuz etkilediği vurgulanmıştır. Bu kapsamda öne sürülen teoriler Gaziantep örneğinden hareketle, deprem/afetlerin sadece fiziksel değil, duygusal ve toplumsal etkilerinin dikkate alınması ve kültürel mirasın korunmasının daha geniş bir perspektife oturtulması gerektiğini göstermiştir.

N2  - The February 6, 2023 earthquakes caused catastrophic damage to Gaziantep's tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The aim of this study is to examine the role of cultural tourism in the process of reconstruction the cultural fabric and public memory after the earthquake. In the study, the impact of the earthquake on the city's cultural heritage is analyzed through the views of local people, tourism executives and other stakeholders. Current perceptions and strategies for the protection of the values that form Gaziantep's historical and cultural identity were evaluated with qualitative research method. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 city stakeholders, the data obtained were analyzed with the MAXQDA 2024 program and theories were put forward. In the study, two main themes titled “Negative Effects of the Earthquake and Cultural Tourism” were identified, and it was emphasized that the bonds of the local people to cultural heritage weakened after the disaster and these losses negatively affected the public memory. The theories put forward in this context, based on the example of Gaziantep, show that not only the physical but also the emotional and social effects of earthquakes/disasters should be taken into account and the protection of cultural heritage should be placed in a broader perspective.
