AB  - Bu çalışma, The Fall (2006) filmi bağlamında postmodern anlatı estetiği çerçevesinde mimari mekânın sinemasal temsiline odaklanmaktadır. Postmodernizmin bilgi, gerçeklik ve temsil anlayışında yarattığı kırılmalar, sinema anlatılarında yalnızca içerik düzeyinde değil, aynı zamanda mekânsal kurgularda da belirgin bir dönüşüme yol açmıştır. Bu bağlamda mimari, sinemada salt dekoratif bir unsur olmaktan çıkarak, anlatının ritmini, duygusal yoğunluğunu ve ideolojik katmanlarını taşıyan yapısal bir anlatı öğesine dönüşmektedir.Araştırma, nitel yöntemlerle yapılandırılmıştır ve metinsel çözümleme ile görsel içerik analizi teknikleri bir arada kullanılmıştır. Filmin seçilmiş sahneleri (Ayasofya, Jodhpur, Chand Baori vb.) biçimsel ve tematik düzeyde detaylı olarak incelenmiş; bu incelemeye kuramsal olarak Henri Lefebvre’in üretimsel mekân yaklaşımı, Edward Soja’nın üçüncü mekân kuramı, Michel Foucault’nun heterotopya kavramı ve Linda Hutcheon ile Brian McHale’in postmodern anlatı teorileri eşlik etmiştir. Böylece anlatı ve mekân ilişkisinin sadece içeriksel değil, ideolojik ve duyumsal bir düzlemde nasıl yapılandığı ortaya konmuştur.Sonuç olarak, The Fall filminde kullanılan mimari mekânlar; zamansallık, kimlik, bellek ve temsilin yeniden üretildiği anlatı alanlarına dönüşmekte, görsel kültürün estetik sınırlarını aşarak sinemasal anlatının kurucu öğelerine evrilmektedir. Bu çalışma, postmodern anlatının mimariyle kurduğu çok katmanlı ilişkinin hem kuramsal hem estetik düzeyde nasıl işlendiğini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır.

N2  - This study focuses on the cinematic representation of architectural space within the framework of postmodern narrative aesthetics, using The Fall (2006) as a case study. The disruptions brought by postmodernism in the notions of knowledge, reality, and representation have led to significant shifts not only in narrative structures but also in spatial constructions in cinema. Within this context, architecture transforms from a mere decorative background into a structural narrative element that carries emotional intensity, ideological depth, and narrative rhythm.The research is based on qualitative methods, combining textual analysis with visual content analysis. Selected scenes from the film (e.g., Hagia Sophia, Jodhpur, Chand Baori) were examined in detail at both formal and thematic levels. The theoretical framework includes Henri Lefebvre’s production of space, Edward Soja’s thirdspace theory, Michel Foucault’s concept of heterotopia, and postmodern narrative theories by Linda Hutcheon and Brian McHale. This approach reveals how the relationship between narrative and space is constructed not only on a thematic level but also through ideological and affective dimensions.In conclusion, the architectural spaces used in The Fall become narrative fields where temporality, identity, memory, and representation are restructured—transcending the boundaries of visual aesthetics and becoming central components of cinematic storytelling. This study aims to demonstrate how postmodern narrative engages with architecture on both theoretical and aesthetic levels.
