Materials and Method: This retrospective clinical study investigated 90 patients who underwent AH, VH, and TLH at a tertiary hospital between January 2023 and December 2024. The groups compared in terms of demographics, clinical characteristics, and visual analog scale (VAS) pain scores at 1, 8, and 24 hours postoperatively. Results: The mean age and ratio of postmenopausal women were significantly higher in the VH group compared to the AH and TLH groups (P <0.01). The rate of bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy performed simultaneously with hysterectomy was significantly lower in the VH group (P=0.01). The mean operation time was significantly shorter in the AH group compared to the VH and TLH groups (P=0.01). No significant difference was found between the groups in terms of postoperative 1-hour VAS scores (P=0.38). However, the VAS scores at 8 and 24 hours postoperatively were significantly higher in the AH group compared to the VH and TLH groups (P=0.01 and P <0.01, respectively). Conclusion: These findings suggest that minimally invasive techniques like VH and TLH may offer advantages in postoperative pain management compared to AH. However, the choice of surgical approach should be individualized based on patient characteristics, surgical indications, and surgeon expertise.}, number={2}, publisher={T.C.
