AB  - Bu çalışmada, Türk atasözleri damgalama açısından eleştirel söylem analizi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Pala’nın ortaöğretim çağı gençliğini hedef alan “Dünden Bugüne Atasözleri” adlı eserinde yer alan 993 atasözü bu çalışmanın veri kaynağı olarak kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, Braun ve Clarke’nin tematik analize dayalı altı adımı izlenmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda, çalışmanın veri kaynağını oluşturan 993 atasözünün 218’inde beş farklı damgalama (toplumsal kimlik temalı damgalar, karakter özelliğinden kaynaklı damgalar, statüsel damgalar, kitlesel damgalar ve bedensel damgalar) olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu atasözlerinden 83’ünün toplumsal kimlik temalı olduğu; 40’ının karakter özelliğinden kaynaklı damgalar içerdiği; 35’inin statüsel, 32’sinin kitlesel ve 28’inin de bedensel damgalar içerdiği saptanmıştır. Bu 218 atasözünde toplam 63 damga tespit edilmiş ve toplumsal kimlik temalı damgaların daha fazla, kitlesel damgaların ise daha az olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, atasözlerindeki damgaların heterojenliğine dair kanıtlar sunmakta ve damgalama türlerine ilişkin çıkarımlar ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca sonuçlar, atasözlerindeki damgalama olgusunu resmetmekle birlikte atasözlerinde damgalamanın hangi formlarda işlendiğini de göstermektedir.

N2  - In this study, Turkish proverbs were examined in terms of stigmatization using critical discourse analysis. 993 proverbs in Pala’s book “Dünden Bugüne Atasözleri”, which targets secondary school youth, were used as the data source of this study. In analysing the data, Braun and Clarke’s six steps thematic analysis was followed. As a result of the analysis, that 218 of the 993 proverbs contained five different stigmatizations: stigma based on social identity, character traits, status, collectivity, and physical attributes. 83 of these proverbs are on the theme of social identity; 40, character traits; 35, status-related, 32, collective and 28, physical stigmas. A total of 63 stigmas were identified in these 218 proverbs, and it was determined that social identity-themed stigmas being the most prevalent and collective stigmas the least. The findings provide evidence of the heterogeneity of stigma in Turkish proverbs and offer insights into the types and forms of stigmatization present. Additionally, the results illustrate not only the presence of stigmatizing discourse in proverbs but also how these forms of stigma are constructed and transmitted through traditional sayings.
