AB  - Bu çalışma afetler konusunda sosyal hizmet alanında yapılan akademik çalışmaları bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Web of Science veri tabanında 2005-2024 yılları arasında “disaster” (afet) anahtar kelimesiyle sosyal hizmet kategorisinde yayımlanan 607 makale analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular, afetler üzerine yapılan sosyal hizmet araştırmalarının yıllara göre dağılımını, en çok atıf alan yazarları, kurumları, ülkeleri ve temel araştırma eğilimlerini ortaya koymaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda afetlere ilişkin sosyal hizmet çalışmalarının sınırlı olduğu ancak son yıllarda artan akademik ilgiyle birlikte belirli temalar etrafında yoğunlaştığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışma sosyal hizmet alanında afet konusundaki akademik üretkenliğin geliştirilmesine yönelik öneriler sunmaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular, gelecekte yapılacak araştırmalara yön vermek ve afet sosyal hizmeti alanında bilimsel bilgi birikimini artırma noktasında fayda sağlayacaktır.

N2  - This study aims to examine academic research on disasters in the field of social work through bibliometric analysis. A total of 607 articles published in the social work category in the Web of Science database between 2005 and 2024, using the keyword “disaster,” were analyzed. The findings reveal the distribution of social work research on disasters over the years, the most cited authors, institutions, countries, and key research trends. The results indicate that while social work studies on disasters remain limited, academic interest in this field has increased in recent years, leading to a concentration on specific themes. This study provides recommendations for enhancing academic productivity in disaster-related social work research. The findings will serve as a valuable resource for guiding future studies and contributing to the expansion of scientific knowledge in the field of disaster social work.
