The article examines how this has affected US-Pakistan efforts to combat terrorism. Also significant were the U.S. airstrikes on Pakistani territory and the reactions to these events, particularly the importance of the elimination of “Al-Qaeda” leader Osama bin Laden in Pakistan on May 2, 2011.
