In 1946, the Pahlavi regime committed genocide against the local population, the officials and officials of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party and the National Government who did not leave their cities when they deployed troops to reoccupy South Azerbaijan. Alongside the genocide, the Pahlavi regime exiled tens of thousands of Azerbaijanis to different outside regions of Iran South Azerbaijan.
