AB  - 2021 yılında Şanlıurfa’da başlatılan “Neolitik Çağ Araştırmaları” diğer adıyla “Taş Tepeler Projesi” kapsamında kazısı yapılan Çakmaktepe, avcı-toplayıcı toplulukların yerleşikliğin başlangıç süreçlerine ve Neolitik Çağ’ın erken aşamalarına dair önemli kanıtlar sunmaktadır. Çakmaktepe’de ana kayaya oyularak muntazam şekilde yapılmış dairesel formlu, çukur tabanlı konutlar ve özel yapılar açığa çıkartılmıştır. Konut yapıları dönemin günlük yaşamına dair önemli veriler sunarken, çapları 16 m.ye ulaşan özel yapıların varlığı ise avcı-toplayıcı toplulukların yerleşik yaşama geçişin ilk aşamalarında bile sadece besin bulma gayesinde olmadığı, sosyal bağlara ve sosyal yaşama da önem veren, toplulukları bir araya getiren ritüellerin olduğu göstermektedir. Çakmaktepe özel yapıları, bölgede yer alan Göbeklitepe, Karahantepe gibi yerleşmelerden de bilinen bu tür yapıların prototiplerini oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular ile Çanak Çömleksiz Neolitik Çağ’ın başına (PPPA) (MÖ. 9600-8800?) tarihlendirilen Çakmaktepe Anadolu’da yerleşik yaşamın başlangıcı ile ilgili yeni bilgileri ortaya koymaktadır.

N2  - The "Şanlıurfa Neolithic Research Project," also known as the "Taş Tepeler Project", initiated in Şanlıurfa in 2021, provides significant evidence regarding the transition of hunter-gatherer communities to settled life and the early stages of the Neolithic Age, based on the excavation of Çakmaktepe. Round subterranean domestic buildings and special buildings, meticulously carved into the bedrock, have been uncovered at Çakmaktepe. The domestic buildings provide valuable data about the daily life of the period. The existence of special buildings with diameters reaching up to 16 meters suggests that even in the early stages of the transition to a settled lifestyle, hunter-gatherer communities were not solely focused on food acquisition. They also placed importance on social bonds and social life, as evidenced by rituals that brought the community together. The special buildings at Çakmaktepe serve as prototypes for similar buildings known from settlements in the region, such as Göbeklitepe, Karahantepe and Sayburç. The findings from Çakmaktepe, which date to the beginning of the Pre-Pottery Neolithic (PPNA) (9600-8800 BCE?), offer new insights into the beginning of settled life in Anatolia.
