TY - JOUR T1 - Yeşil Çalışan Katılımı (Green Work Engagement) Ölçeği Türkçe Geçerlemesi TT - Validation of the Green Work Engagement Scale in Turkish AU - Yalpa, Bilgen Gaye PY - 2025 DA - November Y2 - 2025 DO - 10.35674/kent.1676550 JF - Kent Akademisi JO - Urban Academy PB - Ahmet FİDAN WT - DergiPark SN - 2146-9229 SP - 3554 EP - 3573 VL - 18 IS - 6 LA - tr AB - Yeşil çalışan katılımı; bireylerin iş yerinde çevresel sürdürülebilirlik hedeflerine yönelik bilinçli, gönüllü ve aktif katılımını ifade eden kritik bir kavramdır. N2 - Green work engagement (GWE) is a critical concept that represents individuals’ conscious, voluntary, and active participation in achieving environmental sustainability goals in the workplace. With the growing emphasis on sustainability-oriented practices in the business world, employees’ awareness of environmental responsibility and their contributions to sustainable work processes have become key elements of organizational performance. In recent years, academic interest in GWE has significantly increased in the international literature. However, scale development and validation studies on this concept remain quite limited in Turkish literature. To date, no research has examined the validity of the GWE Scale in Turkish. To bridge this gap, the present research conducts the Turkish adaptation of the GWE Scale. Data were collected from a sample of 304 employees working in the manufacturing sector within an organized industrial zone. To assess the construct validity of the scale, CFA was conducted. The analyses confirmed that a reliable measurement tool, consisting of six items and preserving the unidimensional structure of the original scale, was successfully adapted into Turkish. The findings provide strong evidence that the version prepared in Turkish of the GWE Scale serves as a reliable and valid tool to assess green employee engagement across different sectors in Türkiye. This study not only contributes to the Turkish adaptation of the scale but also lays a solid foundation for future research in sustainability-oriented human resource management and organizational behavior. Furthermore, the scale offers valuable support for the development of policies and practices that promote environmental sustainability in the business world, making a significant contribution to the Turkish literature.
