N2 - In today's world where global environmental problems are increasingly deepening, the concepts of environmental leadership and green innovation play a critical role in achieving sustainability goals. Environmental leadership is defined as a form of leadership that transforms organizations with a nature-based vision and guides employees towards environmental objectives. Green innovation, the other hand, encompasses innovative practices that minimize environmental impacts, enhance resource efficiency and create sustainable value. This study aims to examine the relationship between environmental leadership and green innovation through a meta-analysis, addressing a gap in the literature where, despite growing interest, this relationship has not been systematically evaluated. Within the scope of the research, four empirical studies that include the concepts of environmental leadership and green innovation in their titles or keywords and meet appropriate methodological criteria were analyzed using the meta-analysis method. The selected studies were statistically examined with the help of the Major plugin in the Jamovi software. Correlation coefficients and sample sizes were used as the primary data for the analysis. The meta-analysis, conducted using a random effects model, revealed a positive and statistically significant correlation of r=0.461 between environmental leadership and green innovation. The study’s contributes to the field is twofold: theoretically, it demonstrates the interaction between environmental leadership and innovation based statistical reliability; methodologically, it ensures the generalizability of this relationship through a meta-analytic approach. Furthermore, the high heterogeneity value found indicates that this relationship may vary depending on sector, culture and organizational structure. The results emphasize the importance of developing holistic strategies that are leadership-focused and innovation based to enhance the effectiveness of sustainability policies. In this respect, the study makes an original contribution to the literature by revealing that environmental leadership is one of the key determinants of green innovation.
