Specifically, the study compares the views of history department students with those from other academic disciplines regarding historical productions, assessing their contributions to history education and their potential roles within the broader educational context. Employing a quantitative research approach, the study utilizes general survey and relational survey models. The study sample comprises 500 students from various academic departments at Sakarya University. Data collection was carried out using both online and traditional survey methods. The survey, consisting of Likert scale items, was designed to gauge participants’ perceptions of historical series, their interest in historical events, and their perspectives on incorporating such productions into the educational process. The data collected were analysed using SPSS 27 software, with a range of statistical techniques applied, including correlation analysis, independent sample t-tests, chi-square tests, and ordinal logistic regression, to explore the relationships between the variables. The findings suggest that historical series can serve as a valuable supplementary visual resource in history education, enhancing students’ engagement with historical subjects. However, the study underscores the importance of critically evaluating the historical accuracy of these productions, emphasizing that their use in the pedagogical context should be approached with caution.
