AB  - Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, turizm sektörünün önemli paydaşlarından biri olan ve Turist Rehberleri Birliği’ne bağlı olarak görev yapan kadın turist rehberlerinin karşılaştıkları sorunları ortaya koymak ve bu sorunlara yönelik çözüm önerileri geliştirmektir. Ayrıca çalışma, kadın rehberlerin karşılaştıkları sosyal, kültürel, siyasal ve ekonomik sorunları feminist teori çerçevesinde ele almakta ve eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirmektedir. Feminist kuram bağlamında, toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizliği, çalışma ortamında kadın olmanın getirdiği engeller, patriyarka, kamusal/özel alan ayrımı gibi temel kavramlar üzerinden kadın turist rehberlerinin yaşadıkları deneyimler analiz edilmektedir. Araştırma kapsamında, literatüre dayalı olarak oluşturulan yarı yapılandırılmış soru formu aracılığıyla kadın rehberlerle derinlemesine görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu yöntemin tercih edilmesinin temel nedeni, kadın turist rehberlerinin karşılaştıkları sorunların her birinin birer fenomen olarak ele alınmasıdır. Bu doğrultuda, katılımcıların yanıtlarına ilişkin daha derinlemesine bilgiye ulaşmak, deneyimlerin arka planını keşfetmek ve çok katmanlı anlamlar ortaya koymak amacıyla feminist teori rehberliğinde bir içerik analizi süreci yürütülmüştür. Analiz sonucunda ‘cinsiyet temelli ayrımcılık’, ‘cinsiyet normları ve toplumsal beklentiler’, ‘kariyer süreçlerindeki zorluklar’, ‘güvenlik ve taciz’ ile ‘destek mekanizmaları ve sektörel politikalar’ olmak üzere beş tema ortaya çıkmıştır. Ortaya çıkan temalar üzerinden çalışmanın hem yazına katkı sağlaması hem de sunulan çözüm önerileri aracılığıyla kadın rehberlerin çalışma koşullarının iyileştirilmesine yönelik pratik çıktılar üretmesi beklenmektedir.

N2  - The main purpose of this study is to reveal the problems faced by female tourist guides who are one of the important stakeholders in the tourism sector and work under the Tourist Guides Association and to develop solution proposals for these problems. In addition, the study addresses the social, cultural, political and economic problems faced by female guides within the framework of feminist theory and evaluates them from a critical perspective. In the context of feminist theory, the experiences of female tourist guides are analyzed through basic concepts such as gender inequality, obstacles brought about by being a woman in the work environment, patriarchy and public/private space distinction. Within the scope of the research, in-depth interviews were conducted with female guides using a semi-structured questionnaire form developed based on literature. The main reason for preferring this method is that each of the problems faced by female tourist guides is considered as a phenomenon. In this direction, a content analysis process was conducted under the guidance of feminist theory in order to reach more in-depth information about the participants' responses, to explore the background of the experiences and to reveal multi-layered meanings. As a result of the analysis, five themes emerged: ‘gender-based discrimination’, ‘gender norms and social expectations’, ‘difficulties in career processes’, ‘security and harassment’ and ‘support mechanisms and sectoral policies’. It is expected that the study on the emerging themes will both contribute to the literature and produce practical outputs for improving the working conditions of female guides through the solution suggestions presented.
