AB  - Hipoparatirodizm, çeşitli nedenlere bağlı olarak görülebileceği gibi, idiopatik olarak sporadik veya familyal formlarda ortaya çıkabilir. Azalmış parathormon sekresyonu ile birlikte hipokalsemi ve hiperfosfatemi hipoparatiroidizmin major bulgularıdır. Kalsiyum metobolizmasındaki bozukluğa bağlı olarak ileri dönemde intrakraniyal kalsifikasyonlar gelişebilir. Bu makalede hipokalsemik tetani ile gelen, beyin BT incelemesinde bazal ganglion ve subkortikal alanlarda kalsifikasyon saptanan, primer hipoparatiroidi tanısı alan on dört yaşında erkek olgu sunuldu ve literatür eşliğinde tartışıldı
