Materials and Methods: Findings from the article titled “Comparison of MEWS, qSOFA, and MEDS Scores in Predicting the Prognosis of Septic Patients in the Emergency Department” were reviewed in light of the literature. Results: The MEDS score shows high sensitivity but may be difficult to apply in emergency settings due to its complexity. Increasing the score for lower respiratory tract infection is a noteworthy suggestion. Statistical comparison using the DeLong test may strengthen conclusions. Conclusion: The MEDS score appears promising for early risk assessment in sepsis. However, its simplification and clinical validation through future studies are recommended.}, number={2}, publisher={İbrahim İKİZCELİ}
