AB  - Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, işitme kaybı tanısı almış çocukların ebeveynlerinin tanılama sürecinden işitsel rehabilitasyon sürecine kadar odyologlara ve odyoloji hizmetlerine yönelik algı, beklenti ve memnuniyet düzeylerini değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel nitelikteki bu araştırma, Türkiye’nin farklı bölgelerinde yaşayan 150 ebeveynin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplamak amacıyla araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan Demografik Bilgi Formu ve Ebeveynlerin Odyologlar ve Odyoloji Hizmetleri Hakkındaki Görüşleri Anketi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Ebeveynler, odyologları yalnızca teknik hizmet sunan uzmanlar olarak değil, aynı zamanda bilgi veren, yönlendiren ve duygusal destek sağlayan profesyoneller olarak değerlendirmiştir. İşitme cihazı veya işitsel implant uygulamaları ile işitsel rehabilitasyon süreçlerinde odyologların katkısı olumlu bulunmuştur. Ebeveynler, odyologlarla kurdukları iletişimin genellikle destekleyici ve anlaşılır olduğunu ifade etmiş, özellikle işitme kaybı tanılama ve müdahale süreçlerinde sağlanan bilgilendirici yaklaşımlardan memnuniyet duyduklarını belirtmiştir. Bununla birlikte, bazı ebeveynler, randevu sistemlerindeki zorluklar, danışmanlık hizmetlerinin sınırlılığı ve bireysel bilgilendirme süreçlerinin yetersizliği gibi alanlarda gelişime ihtiyaç olduğunu vurgulamıştır. Sonuç: Elde edilen bulgular, odyoloji hizmetlerinin aile odaklı bir yaklaşımla yeniden yapılandırılması, danışmanlık hizmetlerinin güçlendirilmesi ve bölgesel eşitliğin sağlanmasının gerekliliğine işaret etmektedir. Bununla birlikte, ebeveynlerin odyologlara yönelik genel memnuniyet düzeyinin yüksek olması, mevcut hizmet yapısının güçlü bir temel sunduğunu göstermektedir.

N2  - Objective: This study aims to evaluate the perceptions, expectations, and satisfaction levels of parents of children diagnosed with hearing loss regarding audiologists and audiology services, from the diagnostic process through to the auditory rehabilitation process. Material and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with 150 parents living in different regions of Türkiye. Data were collected using a Demographic Information Form and the Parent Perspectives on Audiologists and Audiology Services Questionnaire. Results: Parents evaluated audiologists not only as specialists providing technical services but also as professionals who provide information, guidance, and emotional support. The contributions of audiologists in hearing aid and auditory implant applications, as well as in auditory rehabilitation processes, were perceived as positive. Parents reported that their communication with audiologists was generally supportive and clear, and they expressed particular satisfaction with the informative approaches provided during the diagnosis and intervention stages of hearing loss. Nevertheless, some parents emphasized the need for improvement in areas such as the problems with the appointment system, the limited scope of counseling services, and the provision of insufficient individualized information. Conclusion: The findings obtained underscore the need to restructure audiology services with a family-centered approach, enhance counseling practices, and ensure equitable access to services across all regions. Nevertheless, the generally high level of parental satisfaction with audiologists demonstrates that the current service structure provides a strong foundation.
