Conducted using a basic qualitative research design, the study included a total of 12 participants—3 administrators and 9 teachers—working in various types of schools in Ordu during the 2023–2024 academic year. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, and the statements of participants selected via maximum variation sampling were analyzed using content analysis. Findings indicate that innovative and exemplary practices significantly influence the following of influencer teachers, and that social media is widely used by educators for content creation and inspiration. Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) are the most preferred platforms among educators. It is commonly noted that influencer teachers are especially followed by younger teachers, and there is a prevailing opinion that these individuals sometimes disregard ethical and pedagogical principles and may seek personal gain. While educational content is generally appreciated, posts involving students are seen as ethically and legally risky. Consequently, it is recommended that influencer teachers consider children’s rights and professional ethical standards in their posts, and that legal regulations be introduced to govern the influencer teacher.}, number={3}, publisher={Ordu Üniversitesi}
