Scientific thinking includes various mental skills such as observation, experimentation, classification, assessment, estimation, inference, and modeling. Curriculums are frequently updated to develop these skills in students. Similar practices are also carried out in our country. The Ministry of National Education has renewed many programs in 2024. One of these is the 2024 Physics Curriculum. The Turkish Century Education Model was taken as the basis in the Physics Curriculum and a skills framework was framed. In this study, the types of skills given in the 2024 Physics Curriculum, their repetition numbers, their distribution to class levels, and their alignment with the program objectives were scrutinized. The qualitative research method was adopted in the study and the necessary data were collected from official documents. At the end of the research, it was observed that the skills in the Physics Curriculum were distributed unevenly to classes and units, and Science Field Skills and Conceptual Skills were rarely repeated. Inductive reasoning and scientific inference skills were repeated 23 times, while the other 9 field skills were given 19 times. Skills such as experimentation, scientific observation, creating scientific models, estimation based on scientific observation, and using evidence, which are the basis of the physics course, have been given very little space. Moreover, skills such as "research, investigation, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, scientific perspective, and knowledge production", which are envisaged in the program objectives, have never been given in the 2024 Physics Course Curriculum. In the end, it was suggested that the 2024 Physics Course Curriculum be reviewed, the number of Science Field Skills and Conceptual Skills be increased, and be distributed evenly across classes and units.}, number={3}, publisher={Sınırsız Eğitim ve Araştırma Derneği}
