The study used a qualitative content analysis approach. Lexical and phrasal elements that were presented differently as counterparts or having equivalents in each of the three languages were assessed in this context and collected as data. In this context, seven (7) components were introduced. After providing equivalents in English (EN), Turkish (TR), and Italian (IT), an etymological study and, if necessary, presentations on the kind of analogous term used were given. Given that the majority of the retrieved pieces were of English provenance, a comparison was carried out in this manner. However, it should not be forgotten that the main objective was to show whether metaphorical usage is present and broadly accepted in all three languages. The overall conclusion is that metaphorical concepts are preferred in some way in all languages; business and economic representatives have begun to favour figurative and metaphor-filled language that also reflects the modern world; metaphors have become more prevalent in literature over the past century, particularly with the advent of technology; and in Italian and Turkish, with the exception of a few instances, either a literal translation or a borrowing has been made; in some periods, cultural elements have also acted as an intermediary.}, number={11}, publisher={Disiplinler Arası Dil Araştırmaları Derneği}
