It is a descriptive and cross-sectional study. 431 adolescents were included in the sample. The average scores of the adolescents from the Emostional Abuse Questionnaire (EAQ) are as follows; Verbal abuse 12.716±6.97, over control 9.018±5.131, terrorizing 3.621±2.630, insufficient control 6.375±3.866, emotional rejection 3.533±2.698, over expectation 5.389±2.797, and mean total score 40.656±20.320. The results showed that emotional abuse is related to many factors such as gender, education level, number of siblings, father’s occupation, region of residence (province, district, village), income status, family type, penal status of parents, trust status of parents, being abused. The importance of this study is to emphasize the importance of preventing emotional abuse for at-risk adolescents and the need for legal interventions in severe cases.
