Defined as adopting a kind, accepting, and understanding attitude toward oneself, self-compassion has emerged as a crucial determinant of psychological well-being. The article highlights how its three core components such as self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness collectively strengthen emotional resilience. Findings indicate that individuals with higher levels of self-compassion cope more effectively with stressful or adverse experiences and exhibit reduced symptoms of depression and anxiety. Moreover, interventions such as self-compassion-focused therapy and mindfulness-based programs demonstrate significant benefits in stress reduction. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of integrating self-compassion practices into mental health frameworks and recommends future research exploring its effects across diverse age groups and cultural settings.}, number={5}, publisher={Hakan YILMAZ}
