The EU and Gulf countries have been trying to strengthen their cooperation/alignment against global challenges such as geopolitical conflicts, climate change, diversification of energy sources, and the transition to renewable energy sources (RES). They also seek to balance their vulnerabilities and safeguard the sustainability of their economies in the context of renewable energy transition and/or diversification of energy sources. They have initiated renewable energy projects/deals by focusing on shared energy security concerns, such as mutual policy alignment, economic sustainability, and energy diversification. The Interdependence between the EU and the Gulf countries has profoundly increased, particularly through the deals and projects in the renewable energy domain. Against this backdrop, the EU and Gulf countries’ energy collaboration highlights that states with different geopolitical contexts can enhance cooperation, achieve mutual gains, and sustain economic/energy goals against compelling global challenges.}, number={3}, publisher={Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi}
