AB  - “Abdest âyeti” adıyla bilinen âyette, abdest alırken ayakların “iki k’a‘b” ile birlikte yıkanması gerektiği ifade edilmiştir. Arapça’da ve Fıkıh literatüründe birkaç anlamı bulunan kelimenin, İslam Fıkıh ekollerinden Ehl-i Sünnet’e göre; âyetteki anlamı ayak bileğinin sağ ve solunda yer alan çıkık kemiktir. Günümüz Türkçesi’nde bunu en iyi karşılayan kelime “aşık/aşık kemiği”dir. Ancak kelimenin çoğu meallerdeki çevirisi, “topuk” veya “topuk kemiği” şeklindedir. Topuk kelimesi Osmanlı döneminde söz konusu kemik için kullanılırken, zamanla sadece ökçe için kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu anlam kaymasına rağmen sonraki dönem meallerindeki çevirisi “topuk/topuk kemiği” şeklinde yapılmaya devam edilmiştir. Bu açıdan konu, aynı zamanda Kur’an çevirilerindeki taklitçiliğin tipik örneğini oluşturmaktadır.

N2  - It has been referred that washing with “both k’a’b/ankle bone” while performing ablution in the verse that is known as “verse of ablution”. According to Ahl al-Sunnah, Islamic Fiqh schools, the meaning of concept in the verse that has several meanings Arabic and Fiqh literature is jutting out of the bone which is located at the left and right in both ankles. It is used that the ‘ankle bone’ instead of the concept in daily Turkish. However, most of the trans lation of concept is such as “heel” or “heel bone”. The concept of ‘heel’ has only been used for the heel of foot in time while it is used for the heel bone during the Ottoman period. The con cept has been continued to translate such as “heel/heel bone” in the next period translations, despite the semantic shift. From this perspective the subject also epitomizes typically for the imitation in Qur’an translations.
