AB  - Anti-militarist ve aktivist sanatçılar İri ve Toshi Maruki çifti Hiroşima ve Nagasaki’ye atılan atom bombalarından sonra yaşananları Hiroşima Panelleri serisi ile sanatsal bir dille anlatmışlardır. Bu eserlerden birisi 1955 yılında yapılmış Yaizu panelidir. Eser, Hiroşima Panelleri adlı serinin dokuzuncu parçası olup Marshall Adalarındaki hidrojen bombası denemelerinden etkilenen Daigo Fukuryū Maru adlı balıkçı teknesi ve Yaizu kentinde yaşayan insanların olay karşısındaki yaşadıkları kaygı resmedilmiştir. Araştırmada Yaizu paneli göstergebilimsel analiz yöntemiyle incelenecektir. Çalışma, gösteren-gösterilen ilişkisi ile Japon geleneksel estetik teorileri (wabi-sabi, ma vb.) üzerine inşa edilecektir. Biçimsel unsurlar, sembolik öğeler ve kültürel referanslar eserin göstergelerini oluşturmaktadır. Eser, nükleer çağın etik ve politik sorunlarını evrensel ve sanatsal bir söylemle birleştirmiştir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın amacı göstergebilimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak Yaizu adlı eserin görsel dilinin altında yatan kültürel, politik ve tarihsel göstergeleri ve taşıdıkları anlamları ortaya koymaktır. Sanatın kollektif kültürel bellekteki önemine dikkat çekmektir. Bu doğrultuda, Japonya’nın sosyopolitik kimliğiyle evrensel insan hakları söyleminin eserde nasıl bir araya getirildiği analiz edilecektir. Çalışma yalnızca Yaizu paneliyle sınırlı tutulmuş, serinin diğer panelleri kapsam dışı bırakılmıştır. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemi ve literatür taraması kullanılacaktır.

N2  - The anti-militarist and activist artists Iri and Toshi Maruki have artistically narrated the events following the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with the Hiroshima Panels series. One of these works is the Yaizu panel made in 1955. The work is the ninth piece of the Hiroshima Panels series, depicting the fishing boat Daigo Fukuryū Maru, which was affected by the hydrogen bomb tests in the Marshall Islands, and the anxiety experienced by the people living in the city of Yaizu in the face of the incident. The Yaizu panel will be examined in the research using the semiotic analysis method. The study will be built on the relationship between the signifier and the signified, as well as traditional Japanese aesthetic theories (wabi-sabi, ma, etc.). Formal elements, symbolic elements, and cultural references constitute the indicators of the work. The work combines the ethical and political problems of the nuclear age with a universal and artistic discourse. In this context, the aim of the research is to reveal the cultural, political, and historical indicators and the meanings they carry, underlying the visual language of the work Yaizu, using the semiotic analysis method. The aim is to draw attention to the importance of art in collective cultural memory. In this context, how Japan's sociopolitical identity and universal human rights discourse are brought together in the work will be analyzed. The study is limited to only the Yaizu panel, and other panels in the series are excluded. Qualitative research methods and literature review will be used in the research.
