As traditional media has been replaced by digital media, this process has diversified mass communication tools and increased interaction, resulting in profound societal impacts. This study examines the effects of digitalization on media, journalism, social participation, and financial sustainability, while also addressing the role of new media and digital platforms in communication, along with the ethical issues that arise. The research is conducted through a literature review and adopts a descriptive approach to analyze the impact of digitalization on communication models. By evaluating recent studies in the field, the study explores the transformations digitalization has brought to media and journalism practices and assesses the social consequences of this transformation.
