The objective of this study is to ascertain the burden of ischemic heart disease at the regional, national, and global levels. In addition, the study will summarise the extant literature to assist health policy makers in making evidence-based decisions regarding the management of ischemic heart disease. Methods:The present study employed the systematic review method. In pursuit of the research objective, a comprehensive examination of studies employing a series of keywords related to the concepts of "DALY", "Disability-Adjusted Life Years" and "DALYs" was conducted, with the criteria meticulously determined in the Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, and ProQuest databases. Results: The evaluation process involved the meticulous scrutiny of 13 studies, all of which were found to align with the stringent inclusion criteria set forth by the research. Conclusion:The research yielded findings that indicate a persistent yet diminished prevalence of age-standardized incidence, prevalence, mortality and burden of disease (DALYs) of ischemic heart disease, despite a decline observed in many regions in recent years.}, number={3}, publisher={Dilaver TENGİLİMOĞLU}
