AB  - Prof. Dr. İlyas Topsakal’ın Rusya Tarihi adlı eseri, Slav topluluklarının oluşumundan Sovyetler Birliği’nin dağılmasına kadar uzanan süreçte Rus devlet geleneğinin sürekliliğini merkezine alan kapsamlı bir incelemedir. Yazar, Bizans mirası, Moğol hâkimiyeti ve Avrupa etkileri arasında şekillenen Rus kimliğini coğrafya, kültür ve ideoloji bağlamında çözümler. Devletin merkezîleşme eğilimi, knezliklerden imparatorluk ve Sovyet dönemine uzanan çizgide kurumsal bir süreklilik biçiminde değerlendirilmiştir.
